Project Objective
Create a web presence for the company, and provide agents with a means of completing insurance applications online. Create a centralized platform to aggregate the applications, and track the application from input, to quote, to policy binding.
Project Solution
The manual processes involved in completing an insurance application, and subsequently quoting and binding a policy, were identified. Online forms were then created that allow an agent to complete an application.
The completed applications are then placed into an activity queue for a corporate representative to review. The application is then submitted for a quote to the insurance carrier most appropriate for that policy.
The agent is able to check on the progress of the application process at all times. The communication between the agent and corporate employee is maximized, ultimately improving customer service.
This comprehensive collection of information also allows the company to identify inefficiencies in the system. By tracking each step of the process, and when it occurred, if any unproductive processes exist, they can be identified. Additionally, cross-referencing prospects that are lost with the data can identify areas to improve upon to complete more sales.
